MEET THE CREW
MARK BRAVO - training group head coach
Mark has always been a runner. It may well be the only reason he survived in his first “chosen” sport, basketball… those of you who know Mark’s physical stature understand that statement! What began with a friend’s invitation to a ‘6-mile run’ quickly turned into his favorite way to exercise, socialize and always helped him move toward “the best he could be” down every road of life. He still loves everything about the sport, but joined his friends at OK RUNNER (who he came to for years for all things running) to enhance his engagement with those who love motion as much as he does. His miles don’t resemble those of the past, yet remain just as gratifying. He hopes to lend that attitude to walkers and runners whom he meets at races, during his talks, and in the store! One doesn’t have to be an “elite” runner to be an athlete!
Halen Biggs started his running career during his freshman year of high school, with OK Runner alum Scott Downard coaching Halen up the state ranks. He's now moved on to Oklahoma City University and is studying exercise science while competing in track and cross country. Halen has qualified and competed in 5 national championships in his time so far at OCU, and is excited to continue adding to that list in his final few semesters of collegiate competition.
Known for his quick wits and glorious hair, Andrew has been with OK Runner since his graduation from Southern Nazarene University's pre-physical therapy program in 2016. He's well-known in the Oklahoma coaching community, having served as the head coach at Mount St. Mary's High School, volunteer coach at the University of Oklahoma, and now as assistant coach at Oklahoma City University. Andrew is also currently pursuing a Master's of Exercise Science at SNU. He's also still working on his own running career, and is a member of Scissortail Running's Elite Development Team.
Kyle started running in 7th grade to avoid subjecting his 6', 120lb frame to football, but his love for running quickly grew into a lifelong passion. After two years of marathoning following high school, Kyle transferred to Oklahoma City University, where he ran XC and track while completing a degree in Exercise Science. After a few years of collecting stress fractures, he's finally back to training for the marathon, with the 2024 Berlin Marathon being the next big race on the calendar. He is also the founder of Kyle McKinley Photography and Scissortail Running.
Sheridan's running career started on her middle school track team. In 2019 she wrapped up a storied collegiate career with Oklahoma City University, where she was part of three National Championship relay teams. Now that she’s graduated, she’s training with Scissortail Running and spending a lot more time with her dogs, Goose and Archie. She and Kyle McKinley, fellow OK Runner team member, got married in January of 2021, and have hopes of becoming the fastest couple in Oklahoma. Her stunning debut marathon at the 2021 California International Marathon suggests they're well on their way to realizing that dream!
