38 years running!
OK Runner Norman has moved, but we are still excited to continue the Brookhaven Run 5K on a fun new route as the Brookhaven Run Classic! Join us on Saturday, Aug 31st at St. Mark Catholic Church in Norman for the same electric race day atmosphere you've known and loved for 38 years. Registration prices:
Aug 21st through Aug 30th $35 for race entry and event t-shirt / $25 for race entry only (no shirt) 1 Mile Fun Run: $20 Wheelchair + Pushchair registration: $30 Pushchair Rider: Free! (Still register on RunSignUp) Race Day pricing $5 increase for all races EXCEPT 1 mile Because we did everything we could to offer the lowest registration prices possible, the 2024 Brookhaven Run Classic will not be offering discount codes for local running clubs. |
Packet Pickup
Race packets will be available for pickup at OK Runner - Norman on Friday, Aug 30th, from 11 AM to 6:30 PM. If you can't make it to Norman, race day pickup will be available near the start line from 6:30 AM to 7:30 AM. Registrants who sign up for an entry with t-shirt after August 19th may be required to wait for our second batch of t-shirts - in the event that you do not receive a shirt at packet pickup, we will contact you when that second batch is ready! We expect to have them available for pickup no later than two weeks after race day (exact date is contingent on our screen printer's schedule). Note - the lot at St. Mark will be CLOSED 7:15 AM to 9 AM. No entry or exit to or from the parking lot will be allowed during these times to ensure the safety of our runners. For those who need to arrive or depart during that window, parking will also be available at Roosevelt Elementary on Tecumseh. |

Total elevation gain: ~34 feet
USATF Certified. Because the course is measured along the shortest possible route, GPS data on race day may show slightly longer than 3.11 mi / 5 km. Measuring on Google Maps/Strava will show a longer distance since the mapping software doesn't run tangents! |
PRIZE MONEY - 5KOPEN MEN AND WOMEN
1st - $500 2nd - $400 3rd - $300 4th - $200 5th - $100 Men must break 16:00, Women must break 20:00 to qualify for prize money. If a runner is ineligible for prize money, their prize money will not be given to the next fastest runner. For example: if 3rd place is a college runner and cannot accept prize money, 4th place will still receive $200. MASTERS DIVISION (40+) 1st $200 2nd $100 Runners must be 40 years old or older on race day to be eligible for the Master's division prize purse. There are no time limits. |
