Come run the OK Runner Way this spring! Whether you want to chase down a personal best in the 5K, run a half marathon with friends, or just cross your first finish line, we've got the knowledge and experience to help you reach your goals. Our programs for distances from 5K to the marathon are open to athletes of all levels, from athletes who are getting ready to run their first mile to those whose legs have seen more miles than their cars.
What you you get:
The best coaching anywhere - Mark Bravo, head of our training groups, has decades of experience in running and has coached hundreds of athletes of all abilities, and will be available to you for any questions you may have regarding running, nutrition, or training in general. We'll also have several pacers and coaches who are here exclusively for your help. In addition, our OK Runner employees include former and current state champions, collegiate athletes, and Olympic hopefuls, all of whom are more than happy to offer advice!
Group training runs - Bond with fellow athletes as you progress towards your finish line with our thrice-weekly group training runs! Group runs will be Tuesday evening, Thursday evening (in conjunction with our Run the Alley social run), and Saturday morning. You'll also get access to our Facebook group, where you can share training successes and connect with fellow training group members.
Personalized 5K, 15K, half, or full marathon training plan - We believe that there's no "one size fits all" when it comes to running. While you might see similar workouts and schedules to your fellow athletes, we will ensure your plan is tailored to your needs and goals in order to help you reach your maximum potential! Our running plans also include vital but oft-neglected "maintenance work" - core work and yoga days to help keep you healthy and injury-free as you train.
In-store perks and discounts - All participants are welcome to a free gait analysis and fitting, during which one of our shoe fitters will check for subtle biomechanical cues that determine what type of shoe you need. Each employee is trained by certified pedorthist Craig Thompson, C.PED, to look for a wide variety of factors that make up your unique stride. To make your perfect shoe even sweeter, all participants will receive a 10% discount on all purchases during the training program!
Training group team t-shirt - Every team member will receive a free shirt to commemorate your hard work!
The information meeting will be Tuesday, January 14th, at our OKC location, and will include a brief info session, optional one mile social run, refreshments, and Q&A session with head coach Mark Bravo. Official training group kickoff will follow that Saturday, January 18th!

*These races occur early on in the training group, so if you intend to target these, we recommend that you be a veteran of one of our past programs!

Prices are $109 for plans from 5K to 15K and Marathon Relays, $129 for half marathon plans, and $139 for marathoners, but sign up before our first run on January 18th for $10 off! And if you sign up before the end of 2019, you're guaranteed to get either a special 1/4-zip pullover or jacket!
