FIRST AND FOREMOST: EQUIPPING OKLAHOMA WITH TOP-NOTCH RUNNING GEAR
We pride ourselves on our personal approach to everyone who walks through our doors. Each runner is unique, so we take the time to get to know the needs, background, and goals during our fitting process. In addition to every employee having years of personal experience running, each member of our staff is trained by Craig Thompson in gait analysis and biomechanics. Not only is Craig a co-founder of OK Runner, but he is a certified pedorthist, founder, and owner of Oh-Be-Joyful Orthotics (learn more about Craig and Oh-Be-Joyful here). When you come to OK Runner, you can rest assured in knowing that you'll leave with exactly what you need to stay healthy, reach your goals, and fall (or stay) in love with running. YOUR RUNNING RESOURCE
Our expert staff are all intimately familiar with running. From Olympic hopefuls, collegiate national champions, and All-Americans, to coaches and race directors with decades of experience, we're ready and willing to answer any question you have about running - shoe related or not. Many of our employees were born and raised right here in Oklahoma, and can point you towards a new long run route or the best place for a hilly workout. Our veteran coaches are happy to offer training advice, and we're always eager to hear about your latest race.
TRAINING GROUPS AND SOCIAL RUNS
We also offer training groups for athletes of abilities, as well as social runs for anyone looking for a fun way to get some miles. Our training groups kick off in January, May, and September, with plans to fit first-timers and seasoned vets and everyone in between, across distances from 5K all the way up to the marathon. Click here for more info on training groups.
Our Norman and OKC locations also offer weekly social runs. Like our training groups, all abilities are welcome - walkers, joggers, and pros alike. Bring your friends, bring your family, even bring your four-legged buddies; the more, the merrier! Our social runs are a great way to add a little extra accountability to your weekly training, find a new training partner, or just enjoy some easy miles with fellow runner.
